Plate – Half Sun

Brighten up your table with this beautiful Half Sun-plate – a handmade ceramic plate with a half sunny yellow and half off-white design that exudes warmth and personality. The split glaze gives a modern, graphic look and creates a perfect frame for whatever you serve.

The plates are available in two sizes, small which measures approx. 20 cm in diameter and approx. 3 cm in height. The large which measures approx. 25 cm in diameter and approx. 5 cm in height. The plates have high sides, so they are ideal for pasta dishes.

The dishes are hand-turned and hand-painted and there will be small imperfections which give a wonderful charm.

The story behind

Safi is a provincial capital and port city in western Morocco, which is very well known for their production of beautiful handmade ceramics, which often shine in many different colors and shades. "Safi" is therefore not a type of pottery, but the name for the place where the pottery is produced. You will often be able to find "Safi" standing under the bottom of pottery from Morocco, as they are such a large producer of it.
